Brown Sugar Awards 2020

The 2020 award show will go down in the history books. An absolutely brillant show under such difficult circumstances. We are so happy everyone had a great time! Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees also. TEDNESS and Cheryll put down a great performance. Bello and our very own COO Maria hosted the whole night. Coping with the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t been easy and though there were so many reasons to give up we didn’t. And we couldn’t be happier that we made that choice. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported. Thank you to everyone who also bought an online ticket and live streamed. We are so grateful and will be bigger and better next year.

Brown Sugar Awards 2019

The Brown Sugar Awards 2019 was an amazing experience and achievement for us. We were able to put on an awards show that celebrated young black British women doing amazing things in their respective passions and professions and give them the adoration they deserve! Our first awards had amazing performances from DVNT, Azryah and Lioness, DJ Fiona Hall on the decks and Teeyna Aromi hosted the glamorous night of Black British excellence. A massive thank you to them for helping making the night a success and starting what we hope will be an annual night of celebration. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees in 2019! We can’t wait to see you all this year when we go even bigger and better.
